Nice brew, excellent taste. My beer when I'm BBQing in my backyard.

On-tap at THG for their 3rd Anniversary.
A: The color is a surprisingly dark shade of amber with a cap of light tan foam that faded into a lasting collar. Tons of soapy and sticky lace was left down the glass.
S: Herbal and citrus hop nose with roasted grain notes and a kiss of sweet honey.
T: Big toasty malt backbone mixed with citrus/herbal hop and a hints of honey. There's a touch of herbal spice in the finish mixed with toasted grains. The aftertaste is what tastes most like the cereal, especially after the hop bitterness leaves your palate.
M: Medium body, slick and greasy mouth with a kiss of warming booze mixed with a fresh tingly bitterness. Super fresh, slick, and greasy mouthfeel that is borderline resinous, but not that heavy. Doesn't lay on the tongue like some sweet/malty ipas. Still clean and crisp enough to drink despite the intense flavor. Soft and fluffy carbonation; spicy and tingly.
O: For what it is this is solid. Definitely a malty IPA, but not cloying or overly sweet, and the alcohol is hidden well. This doesn't taste anything like honey bunches of oats though, if I'm being honest. It's way too hoppy, spicy, and herbal, plus it needs more honey. Still, a good malty IPA.
