A specialty collaboration IPA with the ladies from The Can Van! This crushable IPA started with a delicious malt bill of 2-Row, Munich and flaked oats and hopped it up with the 2018 Pink Boots blend of Palisade, Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra and Loral. This collab pays homage to all the amazing, badass brew ladies that make up the craft beer community!

16 oz can from Spike's. Pale golden, clear, head disappears. Aroma is hoppy, floral, handsoap. taste is sweet malts, lightly astringent hops, more light floral notes. Light and unassuming, slick, bitterness lingers for a while.

I should have paid more attention, but I *think* this had a sign up next to it at Trader Joe’s saying it was canned three days prior. Who knows how long that sign was up. And why they don’t refrigerate?
Pours crystal clear. Nice aroma, light but present hoppiness. Flavor has a juicy fruit starburst sweetness on it, while still in the wc wheelhouse. I liked it.

Can to English pint glass, the appearance was a fairly bright yellow to golden semi-transparent color with a semi-foamy and bubbly white head. This slid off to just leave super light touches of some bubbly lace.
The aroma had some peach skin, grassy hop oils, subtle dank, pine resin, floral hops and a light clean biscuit malt.
The flavor leans into all of the prior mentioned aromas and pushes back the malt further in the taste. Some danky onion to grass with hop oils charge through in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under and having a fine sessionability. Good carbonation and some sticky hop oils slide along my tongue, not cloying. Mellow finish of danky hop oils and grass.
Overall, very nice West coast styled IPA well worthy of coming back to.

Can dated 3/26/18 into a tulip glass.
L: Pours bright light golden with 3 fingers of variable density white head with limited retention and left spotted lacing.
S: Nose pops, bright floral and pine resin, with perhaps some earthy undertones.
T: Follows the nose well, but with more pine prominence and limited to non-existent earthy/dank aspects. Finishes with some bitterness, no astringency, clears palate fairly quickly.
F: Low-medium bodied with medium carbonation, lively on the tongue with slight burn from the carbonation, slick finish.
O: Really nice beer that's very dynamic and 6.5% make this one a winner for my palate and preferences.

Canned 3/26/18, consumed 4/7/18
Poured clear golden honey with an inch head that left a whole lot of thick bands of lacing. There is some sediment visibly floating around in there.
Aroma is awesome - nice blast of citrus & stone fruits, dank & pine hops.
Taste is just as fulfilling and delicious as the aroma. Full, danky, hoppy - this is a nice 5-hop blend which includes Simcoe.
Feel is medium, balanced, great carbonation, restrained bitterness, very clean & dry finish.
Overall a terrific collab. brew with the women of The Can Van and Pink Boots Society. I'm all about Simcoe, and this is another blend where it's really done right.
