Draft at Beer Baron. Medium golden pour, small soapy head. Hoppy, dank aroma. Taste even moreso, floral notes, herbaceous. Big and bitter. Lingering bite.

Pours a golden opaque color with a two finger soapy head.
Smells very strongly of pine and citrus with notes of biscuit.
Sweet grapefruit right up front, notes of grape, tangerine, into a mangoey bready taste for the finish.
Great double IPA was expecting to taste more of buds and hops but was not disappointed.

Altamont Beer Works IPA Imperial / Double
How can you possibly pass on a can like this??!! Puff, sip, pass! Lovin 'the clear honey colored malt. Crisp, yet juicy thick complexity. The hops are earthy toned, dry citrus bite and deeply fruity, but not sweet fruity vibe. Definitely kind.

Sweet and piney tropical hoppy, juicy stonefruity, and hoppy-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a clean and juicy, tropical hoppy, and piney bitter finish. As it warms, a little hoppy nuttiness comes out and the piney bitter vibes start to linger a bit more on the back of the throat. This is enjoyable to drink and is a solid double westie!

Can pour- clear dark gold/orange with foamy white head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is dank with a bit of citrus sweetness. Taste follows with a malty backbone. Lingering earthiness on the finish.

Disappointing collaboration for two great breweries. This really is not very good. It tastes overdone and acidic. The aftertaste is better than the taste but that may be due to the warmth any alcohol gives.

1st beer of the evening when I came into this neck of the woods for Sac Beer Week. Pours a dark gold/light amber color, 1/3" white head. Whoa that hop aroma! Big smack of weed dankness (Mosaic). Like this has a lot of Mosaic. Some places put the name on to brag on it, but quantity or quality is lacking. This is like gobs of elite Mosaic hops, really gets the weed name crossover on the nose.
Taste is delicious. Holy shit you know what, this is one of the best ipas I've ever had, and from a brewery that makes some really good ones. Galaxy adds a hint of pine and pineapple to the tropical and equatorial kind bud notes. Not sure what this experimental hop adds here other than some bitterness, glad it isn't all flat and "juicy" like a lot of turbid turds being put out this day. Hides the alcohol amazingly well.
Had this at University of Beer in Vacaville. Man, that one girl has the biggest titties that works there, looks like she tries to hide them too. Can't hide beach balls, you made your choice.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on April 27, 2019. With enough people asking for an Altamont and Moonraker collaboration, wanting it to be hazy and hoppy. The solution? A West Coast, CLEAR, JUICY, IIPA! The 100% Weyermann Cologne malt attributes to the golden color and solid malt foundation. The hops had to be the best; danky and tropical...a blend of Mosaic, Galaxy and EXP 07270. The end result: KAPT’N Kush, an 8.5% IIPA, juicy, hoppy, and awesomely dank beer.

Canned 8/23/18, consumed 9/7/18
Poured mostly clear amber color with a small head that left nice lacing. Aroma is a strong blend of danky, piney, mmj notes mixed with tropical fruits and peels. Taste pretty much follows right on. Feel is medium, decent bitterness, really drinks like a regular IPA just with more intense aroma and taste. Slightly sweet. Overall, a very nice West Coast DIPA, one of the best I've had from Altamont.
