Can pour- mostly clear orange/gold with thick white head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is very mild sweet fruit with hints of earthy grassy hops. Taste follows more or less with a bit of malt lingering on the dryish finish.

Finish is really sweet. Not the best but still good.

Yeah, not an AIPA. ABV is too high and the brewer even says on the can "Double IPA."
Anyways, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-chill haze burnt orange to yellow translucent color topped by a slim white foamy cap of a head dissipating to leave a ton of messy lace.
The aroma had some peach skin up front with some 'iced onion chips' along with some grassy to citrusy and subtle tangerine sweetness.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet end with a touch of dank and earthy bitter grassy hop notes tieing it all together. Nice calm aftertaste of grassiness, iced onion and peach skin.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Some dryness but mostly nice. Some crisp grassiness punching at the finish with some peach skin.
Overall, I'd say a pretty nicely done DIPA but not sure why this was added as an American IPA.
