Picked this up during the harvest run last year. Somehow over a year later, I'm writing the first review of the beer on BA.
Pours a decently clear dark golden color that is the most common of all beer colors. This looks like BMC, and that is generally a compliment, has a slightly smaller head 1/4" white. The aroma is a mixture of Mosaic and Strata hops, while its a 70/30 split in favor of Strata, the effect in the nose is closer to 50/50. Notes of dank weed, berries, passion fruit, gardening and that down under gooseberry breathiness.
The taste does the malt/hop combo good. Crisp mouth feel, basic two row, pale toasted, light but still contributory to a light grain presence underneath a boatload of hop goodness. The berries, weed and tropical fruit drum is just getting banged into oblivion like those 4'11" girls on the internet. Its quite satisfying (the beer).
Altamont is up there with anyone for top tier hoppy stuff that ooesn't seem to be appreciated for it. Wish they would ship outside of California like some other CA breweries do.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
