Consumed this one in December 2020 during a Marquette game. Dat 2003 Wade pint glass. 1st review of this beer on BA almost a year later.
Pours a yellow golden color familiar to most as 'beer'. Makes 3/5" white head. Ample clarity. Looks good. The aroma didn't pop hops like Altamont can do. Cashmere and El Dorado seem to be used in a bigger quantity than Mosaic, has that eucalyptus, pineapple, pine, grapefruit rind nose to it. Where my dank at?
Taste largely mirrors the aroma, lacking tropical fruit and dank notes, herbal green is high, but not weed herbal green. There is a heavier malt presence than the appearance suggested. Light woody caramel note. Heavy stickiness and viscosity. Still pushing citrus rind bitterness more than fruitiness. Doesn't cover up the alcohol, its there and slightly hot and breathy.
Also mine was 10% abv triple ipa branded, not 6% as listed here. I wanted to like this beer more, but it just didn't bring the hoppiness in a way I wanted.
