Picked this beer up come harvest time 2020. Entering it into the database a year later. Also writing a review because I'm not a total sociopath.
Pours a clear golden honey like color with a mild degree of cloudiness, especially for something that is a wet hop beer. The aroma kicks that strata mixture of weed, tropical and american agricultural berries. Strawberry, blueberry, papaya, mango, grapefruit. Well rounded.
Taste is yet another banger from Altamont. Pithy rind, weed, papaya, berry medley. Excellent crisp, dry, west coast (funny geographical bias from BA btw) pale malt body that is done very well to show off the wet/fresh strata hop here. The bitterness is firmly in that west coast vein and better for it, no gloop glop smoothie trub here. Altamont always makes good Strata hopped beers, and this is no different. I guess if you were looking to be disappointed by something, this doesn't really have that greenness that the best of the best wet hopped do. Drinks more conventional.
