Pours classic yellow with good clarity into an old Super Bowl pint glass. 2/5" white head, average retention.
Aroma went hard for Simcoe it seemed, majority share of pine in the nose. Certainly Columbus can also be discovered (he he) as a pine like source too. Columbus and its weed possibilities didn't result in the nose here.
The taste is a little more diversified with a light hint of berry, passion fruit and guava. But make no mistake, pine still reigns supreme in the taste department. The mouthfeel has plenty of bitterness but retains the classic west coast ipa briskness and crispness. The malt bill is noticeably lower than many of the harsher ipa days with Columbus and Simcoe, so that levity is appreciated. Strata hop seemed to give the slight influx of berry and tropical notes that were the most distant aspect of the beer.
Yet again here is a beer I had years ago but is now being reviewed for the first time 2026. Jeez we're up to almost 700 beers added to this Next Glass owned database.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
