Amber brownish color with a persistent head and leaving laces all over the glass.
Sweet aroma of caramel, cinnamon, brown sugar.
Taste was a pleasant surprise, strong flavor of floral and perfumy hops to counter balance its sweetness. Hints of guaranĂ¡, cloves and apple juice. Alcohol of 8.5% ABV is completely hidden. Dry and bitter after taste.
Medium to full body with low carbonation.
This is the best Bier Hoff I have tasted so far. Although less complex than original Belgians, it did not try to copy them and gave it a hoppy twist (not extreme), better balancing the excess sweetness they usually have. Ps. I considered it as a Belgian Strong Ale as opposed to and English Barley Wine as suggested.
