Blood Knot is a unique and perfect infusion of fresh blood orange juice in a hazy-style IPA. This beer is bursting with crisp juiciness, but not too much fruitiness, making it an ideal beer to wet your whistle while wetting a line.

My pour was pretty. Hazy and gold with a thick head. The nose was simple but hoppy. Hops come through but little else. I'm not sure that's a bad thing in this style. The taste is a touch of orange before the bitterness comes through, and then this sharp acidic finish that is just a touch unpleasant from the fruit flavor. It's very close to be being a great fruit adjunct + hoppy beer, but misses ever so slightly for me. Good, but not great.

Thanks to flexabull for the 16 oz. can, which arrived after my first ever conquer of the Step Up to the Pint fantasy baseball league. Just call me Billy Beane.

The pour is kiwi juice. The nose is full-frontal blood orange, the most fruit I’ve had in my nose since I was hit in the right nostril by a tomato last week.

Blood Knot is a Delta Force of blood orange. Massive blood orange hit that keeps giving & giving & giving. Which is lovely. Unfortunately the NE IPA underneath is waterboarded-with-raw-sugar sweet; not even halfway through the can, I can feel my gums separating from my teeth. Way, way, way, way too sugary to drink much of. Half a can would have been plenty.

Pretty sure if you spilled some of this in fertile earth a blood orange tree would spring up. A lovely bite of the blood is offset, & then some, by more sweetness than your average sugar cane plantation. Decent enough.
