They were doing that mail order to your door thing but then I found it at the gas station (who prolly did the same thing) so said why not give it a try. Short review: eh, should have left it on the shelf. Anyways, this is the first review of this beer on BA. Some sociopath just added it to the database without giving it a review. God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy (as the song goes).

Pours a dark amber like color. Crystal malt says hi. 2/3" off white head, good retention. The aroma was entirely caramel and some bitterness that wasn't real committed to rind or pine, just bittering hops.

Taste keeps the meh train rolling, its like this malty double ipa hefty ass malt bill, with only bittering hops. If it weren't for the high ibus, you'd think this is the only English double ipa in existence. But no, its just a throwback to almost 30 years ago, when the crystal malt ibu wars was a thing. I generally appreciate at least some semblance of either grapefruit rind or pine with these bitter bombs, but this one didn't even commit there. It was just bitter caramel and a good hit of alcohol heat. Like did they use some bitter ass hop extract here? Basically all this beer did good was head retention. Everything else was below average quality.
