Great. Another West Coast IPA. Nope. This here is 16 ounces of pure CalifornIPA. This dude is distinct and diverse, just like the Golden State. We’re talking about a plethora of west coast malts and California yeast being handcrafted to create this California-style IPA. At 6.9% ABV, this one is for all of the dudes and dudettes across California – no matter where you like to kick it.

Built for hops and only allowing enough malt sweetness for support, The Dude's IPA is all Californian.
Light amber and on the sturdier side of gold, CalifornIPA releases a creamy white foam that trails to a trickle. An appetizing scent of citrus and spruce lead the way with a hint of floral honey in the background. Sweeter upon the first sip, the malts bring that honey impression to the forefront temporarily. As hints of toasted nuttiness evolve, a suggestion of granola come about.
But the hops rebound on the middle palate with a firm citrus flavor of pink grapefruit, fresh orange peel and a hint of lemon. With a softer suggestion of pineapple, the flavors are juicy and rounded before favoring a sprucy bitterness to close.
Medium bodied and off-dry, the beer's balance certainly favors hop bitterness but allows for a linger of malt. Finishing spicy with resinous pine and citrus peels, a long afterglow of sweet sappiness offers refreshment, drinkability and crispness in a uniquely Californian way.

Very mild citrus, orange smell and flavor. Slightly cloudy yellow color. Very little froth as arrived from a draft pour. The beer has a moderate bitter after taste.

Nice carmel color with moderate carbonation. West coast IPA hops and malt taste with a fruity bitter grapefruit aftertaste. 6.9% ABV makes this a good beer for SoCal hot days.

12/04/22 free draught pour at an airline lounge:
A bit drab considering the current landscape/competition. A cut or two below Sierra Nevada's beers in the category (which, incidentally, are less expensive).

Malty, somewhat boozy IPA.
Tastes of pine, west coast malts (think malt liquor-like malt more so than sweet roasted or toasty malts)
Had it in Carlsbad when it was scorching, possibly best CA IPA for colder weather? Who knows

Pours a mostly clear brighter golden yellow color with white head. Citrus, grapefruit, pine, and some hay on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with fruit and some pine.

Nice ochre yellow, murky, thin head with many wee bubbles, great lacing.
Sour citrus, malty scent. Inviting!
a cornucopia of tropical herbs and creamy fruit, citrus bliss. Light on the pine, moderate grapefruit. Feels like I've been here before, quite cozy!!
Not unlike a Sierra Nevada Torpedo, with a touch more booze!
Fiery California twilight, walked in the evening heat to pick this up, to the bottom of me Hobbit hill, so no bad traffic worries!!
