Bitter and smells similar to grapefruit juice. Wonder if I can exchange the other 3 cans at Total Wine? One can was too much. Their CalifornIPA is way better. What's with all of the fruity crap I'm seeing now? Reminds me of when the breweries went after the ladies with light beers.

Cloud, dark orange pour with an off white lacing that lasts all the way. Smells of fresh pineapple, peach, a bit of chives and some fresh chamomile. Taste is balanced. Some apricots, some pears and a big mouthful of caramel malt. Medium body with no bitterness whatsoever. Good, refreshing beer.

Only bought it since it was a single, so far these guys are not worthy...

Pours an effervescent gold with 2+ fingers of eggshell colored head.Fantastic lacing & head retention

S: Citrus & breadyness, some pineapple

T: Citrus & breadyness, a little dryness & biscuitty malt up front. Grapefruit rind & dryness as this warms, some breadyness & pear as well. Finishes with grapefruit, a little aspirin, some dryness, tangerine & graininess, then astringency

Medium body, lively carbonation, pretty good balance

Super drinkability, not sure I could session on this though; worth a go. Better than most of their stuff...

7-3-16 (16oz can, Long Beach, CA) This one is a very approachable IPA and very easy to drink, for the price (at Costco) you cannot lose with this one. Will buy again.

can purchased at the total wine. abide by 7-26-16. pours a murky orange with lots of sediment. smells of malt and citrus, a decedent ipa, not a lot of hop bite, but a good offering for a 5% beer.

Picked up this brew at Total Wine and More, a 4 pack of pint cans for $7.99. I poured this into a pint glass.

Look:
Pours a hazy amber color, almost like honey. Head fizzles up into a clean, white layer about 1 finger width. Moderate carbonation.

Smell: Citrusy hops with hints of bread, not much else

Taste:
Big floral hops up front that gives way to the sweet bitterness of citrus. Hops aren't overpowering, but I probably wouldn't give this to someone who's never had an IPA. Grains make a cameo. Needs more cowbell.

Feel:
The beer is a little on the thin side with a slight bubbly carbonation. Perfect for warm weather, barbeques, tailgating at a concert, etc.

Overall, a very refreshing IPA that a seasoned hop lover can enjoy but also friendly enough for those just easing their palates into happy brews. Sessionable, but satisfying. I could see throwing a carne asada and having a ice chest full of these. Will definitely pick some more up and share with good friends and even better music.

Abide by 7/26/16.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Tiny particles of sediment are seen suspended in the beer after the pour. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and earthy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, tropical fruit, and earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mix of citrus and tropical hop qualities all around.

Serving type: can.
