Baby, it's cold outside. This Dude should help. We've taken a traditional full-bodied Porter and added just a touch of coconut for a little tropical kick. It's a tasty winter brew that'll warm you up while reminding you that our sunny SoCal summer is just around the corner. Here's to cold beer and warm days, Cheers Dude

The dudes brew with a style that reminds me of Great Divide. It's bold, yet comforting; bready, yet spiced; not too sweet, but rich enough to feel like food on the palate. Grandma's Pecan was legendary. This is relatively common.
Pours with a look like a typical porter: cola red at the edges and dark brown overall. Head is dark tan like the sand in Santa Barbara and leaves lacing like careless wisps of foam on a beach.
Aromas of coconut and chocolate are prominent. Toasted wheat bread lingers in the background, looking for something to make its life interesting. It finds only oatmeal, milk chocolate and toasted coconut.
It's sweet, but not overpoweringly so. It's plain, but not flavorless. Comfort beer.
And it has a bit too much tartness for what it is. Not rich enough to justify the style. Like a health food version of a dark coconut porter.
Meh, I'm over it.
Pretty good beer. Not great. Cheers!
