Of course we are proud of all our beers, but especially our Steam Train Stout has a special place in our hearts because it was one of the first beer we sent the market and got good response.
Steam Train Stout is a so-called oatmeal stout - ie a havrestout - and belongs to the lighter end of the family branch Stout and Porter. We have deliberately held back on too strong a malt flavor and deftly avoided a dominant hops here are limited to a slight bitterness.
Due to the good quality raw materials, it is still managed by conjuring up a rich taste with tones of special coffee, chocolate and licorice wrapped in a wisp of smoke.

Copenhagen 3/9 2019. 50 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgård (Webshop). Not surprisingly a Steamtrain on the label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a big light beige heads. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of dense foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial Lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense, sweet with some quite strong tart notes on the verge of being unbalanced. Sweet caramel, dark roasted malts, hints of smoke. Notable tart notes of unripe berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, Soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate tartness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a tart twist in the finish. Lingers for a bit.
Not the typical Milk Stout with the tart fruitiness. Has the charming unpredictability of very small Brewery.
