The first thing that hits you with this one is the smell. There is a very pleasant and distinct citrus exploding that tickles your nose. This is a golden brew with minimum head. Taste is well balanced with a great lemon, orange zest and citrus flavor. I wish it had a more full hop taste as it feels like it is missing something. Not much tho. An enjoyable beer experience.

Pours a clear honey/orange with a thick white head that recedes rapidly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is muted but citrus comes through. Flavor has a lot of citrus with a bit of orange rind in the finish. Very little bitterness. Feel is better than the regular Kanu but not by much. Still a bit on the watery side, low carbonation. Overall a decent (nothing to write home) session ale.

Pours a clear honey color with a fresh white head. Smell has citrus and fruit juice in it. Taste was vert citrus/grapefruit forward some pale bread malts in the finish. Nicely carbonated very juicy a good one to try.

This beer pours a clear gold with a good sized head. The is lead by a majectic amount of fresh citrus zest, mostly orange and grapefruit, with hints of blood orange, papaya, orange hard candy, and a little bit of biscuity malt. The flavor starts with a ruch of citrus zest and juice, then a hint of undifferentiated tropical fruit, then a large dose of pithy bitterness. the mouthfeel is fairly light but with abundant frothy carbonation. Overall this is decent little beer with huge citrus impressions, but not one I would often reach for - the flavor come off as too narrow and piercing for my liking.

Poured from growler into shaker pint glass. 4.8% ABV
A: Pours a clear pale yellow hue with highly active carbonation jets fueling a 2+ inch frothy white head with excellent retention.
S: Fresh and clean citrus aromas of lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Hint of dry cracker malt.
T: Follows aroma fairly closely with fresh citrus notes of lemon, orange, lime, and grapefruit. Hint of dry cracker malt.
M: Very light body. Fresh citrus sweetness isn’t overly done...well balanced with the dry cracker malt.
D: What a great summer session beer! Just a subtle tweak with the citrus zest on the original...which is a good call since the original is a great beer to begin with. Well done, Bent Paddle!

nice pale ale here with citrus fruit, i didnt get the details, but i would venture orange and grapefruit, and they have done a solid job with this. they have kept it clean and dry in the finish, but its also sort of malty at first, at least weighty in the sense that its not a watery session one, although it doest take on a malty pale color at all. the citrus is like essential oils, fresh and natural but somewhat concentrated in this, and there is bitterness too along with the hops, not too much, and this stays squarely in the american pale field, but it does finish with a little bite which makes great sense with all the fruitiness too. not as juicy on the hop complexion as is trendy right now, but fresh and vegetal just the same. its just a touch more filling than it should be by the pint, but the flavor is balanced and the feel is right for the flavors. bent paddle has been making some wonderful beers lately, and while this is short of their best, its delicious and nice for summer even with the heft.

White head. Golden orange color.
Tastes like squirt or ruby red grapefruit juice. Orange juice. All the citrus fruit. Lemon zest. Earthy hops. Wow. Seriously, all the citrus. This is fantastic
