Can. Clear golden color. White head.
Just a nice, easy drinking beer. Simple, clean, beer. Grassy hops, bready malts, maybe some corn. Toasted crackers. Almost pilsner like.

Classic pours a dark amberish, bronze color, with a very small, barley lacing head. Aroma is sweet and crisp, a hint of corn. Flavor is mellow, a little sweet, creamy corn like flavors. Good body and feel. Overall, its a lighter cream ale, maybe a little sweeter, but very enjoyable, overall, nice flavors.

Tasty, refreshing and smooth cream ale. Basic but really solid beer. Nothing fancy - just good beer. Nice malty flavor without being overwhelming. Well done Bent Paddle. Time for another.

Pours a mostly clear light golden color with a thin white cap. Smell is grain, malt and bread. Taste is the same a classic as the name implies Cream ale. Mouth is clean with malts and grassy hops. A thirst quencher easy drinking ale.

Straight forward cream ale. The brewer is not trying to do too much by doing something with malt or hops. I would put it up there with Spotted Cow. Not too sweet and maintains it's easy drinking moniker.

12oz can. Best by date stamped on can bottom looks to be sometime in April of 2021.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. Vigorous pour yields a thin finger of white head, which quickly retreats to a partial cap. No real evidence of lacing left behind.
Aroma is quite there with honey oats. Expressions of bread and grains. Quite clean.
Taste is sweet with honey, with grains, bread, and earthiness. Touch of spice from the hops. Not much change in flavors throughout the entire drink profile.
Medium mouth feel, with some creaminess. Good carbonation.
Clean, easy drinking ale. No off putting flavors. The honey and breadiness work well together. Good session beer.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left little to no lacing on the glass. It smelled of caramel, toffee, fresh hay and grasses. Sweet caramel taste with toffee and a very mild bitterness. Crisp, sharp and smooth.

8/15/20...mostly clear golden yellow, lighter tint, fast clearing foam gives way to scattered bubbles in motion. Grainy nose, hints of grasses and fields. Clean crisp taste. Close with a nicely balanced bitter. Slight pils, modest citrus. Very clean. Nice and easy.

12oz can from TJ's Beer Emporium and More! Apparently MN is one of the only states where they can sell singles. Thanks attractive cashier lady!
Pours up lacking foam but looks like a cream ale to me. Smells and taste very light and grainy, with a superb creamy feel that permeates throughout. Not a single shitty off-flavor to be found, this is clean drinking lawnmower beer
The kind of beer where I could drink kegs, and I probably will, God permitting

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow, ok head.
Smell: Little bready, slight fruitiness.
Taste: Mild breadiness, slight grassiness, easy drinking.
Overall: Wanted a easy drinker and this six pack met the bill. Nothing too exciting, just a "beer" tasting beer, maybe a decent one to give to the macro-drinking friends.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, light golden color with a mild white head. SRM of 7-8. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong authentic white bread and vanilla ice cream upfront. Some creampuffs too. On the end, honey & bread malts. Munich malts of bread, earth, and light honeyflower. Yet lots of corn mash. Not as much as Castle Cream though. Earthy and authentic. It then dissolves into a rather strong corn malt finish. (4.00)
Flavor: Flavor follows with lots of white bread, cream, vanilla ice cream. Some cream puffs too. Finishes smooth with earthy honey. White grains, honey-nut cereal, and granola. Some grassy, wet paper or soggy french fry. A light, but smooth and creamy finish. (4.25)
Feel: Lighter-bodied for the cream ale style, but rather average body and carbonation. Finishes with a sudsy corn mash feel left on the palate. (3.75)
to Mankato Brewery's Kato Lager 4/11/20: Pours a lighter color. Milder aromas. More bread and corn. Less lemonflower and honey. Dryer overall.
to Schell's Cream Ale 4/15/20: Pours an identical color. Stronger aromas. More corn, cream, and bread on the aroma. Less watery grains. Drinks more like a cream ale and less like an adjunct lager. Sweeter. Winner: Classic.
to Dorothy's New World Lager 5/2/20: Pours an identical color. Stronger aromas. More corn, suds, and yeast. Less sourdough bread. Overall finishes fuller and sweeter.
to Como Claw 6/5/20: Pours a lighter color. More earthy and honey flower German components.
to Surly First Ave 6/13/20: Pours a slightly lighter color. More authentic earthy honey aromas. Less lemon and bread.
5/18/21: More cream and honey malty sweetness. Less earthy honey, flower, and slightly less lemon.
to Golden Coin Helles 6/29/20: Pours a similar color. Stronger aromas of earthy honey and sweeter. Less pale malt and generic honey. More of a German flare. Much prefer Classic here.
Compared to Dortmund Gold 7/12/20: Pours a much lighter color. More American corn and honey aromas. Less dense, earthy, German malt/honey. Slightly lighter, more crisp and dry.
4/16/21 misidentified blind): Stronger earthy honey. Less yeast, bread malt, and lemon.
6/7/21: More rich and earthy honey/cream. Less lemonflower, bitter hops and yeast.
4/20/22: Pours lighter, stronger aromas. More rich cream and less honeyflower.
to Fulton Lonely Blonde 8/16/20: Pours the same color. More honey and syrupy sweetness. More earthy and honey. Less sweet lemon citrus.
to Fulton's Standard Lager 8/16/20: Pours a lighter color. Aromas more of lemon and honey. Less roasted caramel. Flavors more of lemon and honeyflower. Less malty overall.
to Bell's Oberon 8/18/20: Pours a slightly clearer and more yellow color. More honey, lemon, and earthy notes. Less dry orange citrus.
Compared to Bahaus Wonderstuff 8/27/20: Pours a slightly darker color. A more roasty, earthy, bready aroma. Less honey and sweet. Much dryer with less flower hops. I switched these two on a blind taste test.
1/14/21: More earthy, honey, cream, and Munich malt.
5/3/21: More white bread, cream, vanilla. Less salt, bread, and lemonflower.
to Mankato Brewery's Kato 9/7/20: Pours a similar color. Less head. More bready and grassy flavors. Less fruit and sourness. Winner: Classic (This Kato must be contaminated)
to Castle Danger's Cream Ale 11/4/20: Pours a lighter color. Milder aromas. More honey and pale malt sweetness. Less toasty rich bread, cream, and cherry. A lighter body with more hops and less sweetness.
2/11/21: Misidentified these two blind. Very similar aromas. More amber and earthy hops. More amber and red fruit hops. Less smooth malts. Less yeast. More bitter, but a smoother body.
3/25/21: A lighter color. Stronger aromas. More earthy honey and sweet corn. Less bread malt. Hoppier with more honey sweetness.
to Firestone Walker's Lager 2/9/21: Darker color. More earthy honey & mash. Less white citrus, wheat. Sweeter, darker, and earthier.
to Peter's Brand 2/16/21: Pours an identical color. More bread, yeast, Munich malt. Less earthy honey, flower. More yeasty and fuller-bodied.
to Leinenkugal's Honeyweiss 3/8/21: Pours an identical color. More lemon, earthy grains, and honey. Less yeast and corn mash adjuncts. Milder carbonation and smoother.
to Fulton Lonely Blonde 7/7/21: Similar pour. More cream, bread malt, dough, vanilla. Less wheat, tangerine, citrus.
Overall: Not overly creamed, as it drinks like a European Export or Helles lager. But still a good thing. Maybe slightly more bready aromas with a definite German twist. The Munich malts and even some hops are definitely here in this beer. Strong HERBAL, EARTHY HONEY FLAVORS. A nice German flare to this cream ale. Reminds me of a European truffel french fry. (Final Rating: 4.11)
5/3/21: On further reviews, I get more cream, bread dough, vanilla ice cream, and puff pastry. I wonder if they've changed the recipe to make it creamier?

This beer pours a pale gold with an average head. The aroma features bright cracker malts and some bready notes. The flavor features cracker and richer bread malts, with hints of toadted nuts and honey. Minimal hop presence. The mouthfeel is medium bodird and clean with moderate carbonation. Overall a simple and enjoyable beer, which it was trying to be.
