Dark brown, smells like roasted malt. This is an easy drinking lager with lots of roasted flavor. It leans heavy on the sweet roast with a bit of bitterness

12oz can with illegible date. Bent Paddle isn't know for its lagers but they do brew a couple quality ones. Black color in the center but has a ruby tint around the edges. Munich malts featured in the aroma and flavor. Grainy with a note of chocolate and baked bread. Not really balanced as this finishes sweet. Not the cleanest lager either. Light body but the drinkability is not that high. Not Bent Paddle's best lager effort.
