Nice take on a Belgium strong ale. Small head, rather subtle carbonation that isn't overly very strong and dissipates rapidly. Appearance is a nice blond golden color. Smell isn't very pronounced - just a light hint of bread and malt/yeast as one would expect from a good Belgium ale. Taste is rather laid back, delivering a light vanilla/malt overtone that lingers just long enough and then recedes with nice neutral finish without any pronounced aftertaste or funk. Mouth feel also doesn't linger long and is more towards the crisp and bright side. This ale hides its ABV very well. All in all, it is a very easy to quaff and somewhat neutral/easy going for a Belgium strong ale. It doesn't offend and quite drinkable - which can be a bit dangerous at 8.7%. I enjoyed it and will go back for more.
