Dark golden amber, a nice looking beer. Dense head, sticky lacing. Very herbal, a farm-field fresh crop being taken in aroma. The taste is refined, hop-forward, nice backbone of malt and to moderate things. No hotness from the ABV, which is a good thing in our book. A sipping beer, so enjoy the upfront DIPA taste and a long, smooth finish

Hazy deep gold with three fingers of white dense head. Rings of lace.
Smell is floral resin bread crust malts.
Taste is resin grapefruit mango malts.
Mouthfeel is medium to full with good carbonation. The finish is long dry and bitter.
Overall a tasty big beer. Canned Sept. 27, 2018.

L - Nothing given away, OK head retention, great lacing, the only clue you're gonna suffer.
S - Again, great fresh hops here but nothing too apparent, lovely sticky pine.
T - Where things pick up in action and interest - a mouthful of tame, bitter honey, pine cones, and a tad of sweetness. But bitter enough to be more of a DIPA than an imperial.
F - proper perk on the tongue, good carbonation, lovely mouthfeel, I want this in my mouth for days... (TWSS)
O - a great beer, I don't understand the the under 4 score here. Y'all are on crack. This is great beer.

Pours dark copper with a frothy white head, excellent clarity. Aroma of tangerines and pineapple. Flavor is citrus forward with a distinct pineapple undertone and zesty finish. Very dry with a bitter bite on the finish. Lingering resin quality.

Can from Market of Choice.

A clear copper with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is dominated by wet hops with soft, earthy overtones to the base citrus and mildly peach like hops. A soft malt character is present as well, with honey and some sugar. The palate opens bitter with a blend of citrus peel, orange juice and a little bit of melon and peach. The mid-palate has the malt flavors of light caramel that works nicely with the fruit notes. Bitter on the finish with earth, a little petrichor. Soft fresh hop flavors linger with light mint and spruce notes. Medium bodied and softly carbonated, this beer is quite nice. I like this a little more than the Crux version

Tried the Bale Breaker and Crux versions side by side. Poured into a Chuckanut pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with coppery tones and and a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and grassy hops, lemon, light grapefruit; dry field herbal. Flavor is pale, mildly caramel malt, citrus, piney and grassy hops, mixed citrus and mixed light tropical and stone fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and good mouth feel. A very herbal flavored fresh hop with dominance of grassy and piney flavors, but well balanced and good lemon citrus notes. Like the Crux version, the Mosaic hops seem to be the dominant influence, perhaps a bit more here. This Bale Breaker version has a more assertive, piney hop finish, which is quite nice and it's a toss-up whether I like this more assertive (and more West Coast) finish or the more mellow and integrated on in the Crux. Both are excellent and this joins its twin in being the best two fresh hops so far this year. Nice.

Pours a transparent golden amber with a moderate bone-white head. Head has average retention and lacing. Aroma has elements of pine, citrus, and a little dank herbal. Taste is similar with some nice malt sweetness to balance the hops. Finish is slightly bitter and the ABV is well hidden.

Clear gold with three fingers of antique white head. Moderate lacing.

Honey, orange, mint, pine and pepper in the nose. The same elements carry over to the taste, with a kiss of alcohol added and a peppery, mildly bitter finish and aftertaste.

Full bodied, slightly sticky feel with good carbonation.

Not bad. Canned on 9/27/18.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a clean, clear medium golden amber color with over a half-inch of just off-white head that had good retention and lacing.

A nice blast of hops popped right out of the can at the crack. Lots of pine and citrus in the nose, with a hint of malt for contrast. Pretty similar on the tongue, lots of pine and citrus hops, with the malt being a bit more noticeable, which the hops a solid foundation.

The body is on the full side of medium, but nowhere near heavy. The beer has a dry finish. Drinkability is great, I could eagerly knock back a couple. Overall, a very nice brew. A must try if you see it.
