maybe the least distinctive beer i have ever had from bale breaker, but it is up to their usual quality no doubt, i just sort of expected this to be crazy dry hopped or something, but it drinks only slightly hoppier for the style, one of their most poundable beers i have come across thus far, part of the imagination station series. golden clearish brew with a lazy looking white head on it from the tap and not much retention, but it doesnt matter, as i drink this one down pretty darn quickly. it smells like kolsch yeast to me, even ice cold, softly fruity, with some citrus in there from the hops adding to that vibe. other than that it seems really minimal, not a lot of obvious european character to the malt, and nothing particular intriguing about the hops or anything here. the flavor is clean and bright though, refreshing if it werent for a little cereal malt aftertaste that comes back after the swallow, but its plenty dry and fizzy and all, and keeps it light on the body too. really hits the mark for drinkability after a long day of travel and work, but nothing amazing, especially for these guys. nice to have a lighter brew in their arsenal though, and this is good by any measure, even if a little less traditional as the style goes...
