i have recently had the pleasure of drinking a number of bale breaker beers in close proximity to one another, and this while all were excellent, this hazy pale takes the cake for me! the hop profile is incredibly distinctive, the beer is just dripping with freshness, and it drinks really light and easy for being hazy, not heavy or starchy or anything, i loved this! its matte yellow in color with a uniform cloudiness and an inch of white head from the tap. it smells like fresh coconut, lime zest, and lemongrass, takes me tropical, even to like thailand or something with these hop essences, some white wine in there too, these have to be southern hemisphere varietals right? the flavor is more coconut flesh, tropical notes of mango and pineapple too, almost umbrella cocktail-esque, with a lack of citrus for how dry hopped this obviously is, really compelling, id love to know more about it. some serious juiciness, a hint of ripe peach too, and a really round and soft wheaty feel to it but not much grain flavor and no sweetness at all. what are these hops? this is awesome beer, they should package it if they havent already. nobody is doing hoppy beer better in the northwest right now than bale breaker!
