i was so stoked on number 5 in this series that i had to grab this one when i saw it, even knowing its a little older now, and i am glad i did, it doesnt seem to have fallen off at all, and still tastes fresh as can be. i now know this name is referring to this being a hazy series, and this beer looks way more new england style than number 5. it has a big puffy white head and an aroma of bursting citrus and lemongrass and even berry, pungent and saturated, but not green and vegetal at all, cleanly fermented too, which is key for these dry hop focused brews. i love the taste, fresh pineapple, guava, tangerine, and lime, no fruit all hops, a cool mix of modern varietals where to me the cashmere really stands above the others and does its thing, dynamic to say the least. the body here is fuller but its still majorly dry, highly carbonated, and well refined for a brew this cloudy, its not malty objectively speaking, and everything seems rightly in service of the hops. id love to know more about the recipe, i feel like these beers have had a certain intensity and brightness about their hop profiles that are close to unrivaled in the game. is it lupulin powder, cryo hops, i dont know, but its amazing. i will be on the lookout for all past and future releases in this series, it might have just transcended the fremont head full of dynamite project, my highest compliments!
