Hops in this edition are Mosaic, Talus, and YCHS Cryo Pop Hop Blend. Surprising pale golden color with abundant foam in the tall IPA glass. Pretty mellow for the hazy style. Pleasant aroma of honeydew and pine. Quite fruity taste, green fruit. Moderately bitter with pencil shavings in the afterburn. Seems thin and sharp, but quite aromatic.
Really not bad and quite full of fruit. From the 16 oz can packaged on July 23 21, and "Proudly brewed and canned in Moxee, WA." Kind of old, but kept cool since then, and it seems to be one of those hazies that get less harsh after some aging.

I'm usually a big fan of Bale Breaker, but this one didn't quite work for me, and I'm not sure why. The beer looked great, with a huge fluffy head on top of a golden bubbly pour. The mouthfeel matched the appearance. The smell was hoppy. But the taste, well the taste wasn't quite what I expected. There was an off taste, sort of bitter, but not bitter in a good way. I like my IPAs bitter, but this wasn't the normal West Coast IPA bitter, it was something else. Maybe I was having an off day.

this series continues to slay, they are getting some epic hop complexity and intensity in these, this is as good as any ive ha so far, wow. no clue what the hops are, but they taste new school, tropical, and really forward, peaches and apricots, juicy fruit punch, lemongrass, all mega fresh and without any greenness at all. not overly hazy, more unfiltered in appearance, good frothy white head from the neat looking pint can, lots of carbonation lightening it up even more, a honey color about it. tons of stone fruit in the flavor, fuzzy peach up front, some citrus in the middle, sweeter mango and melon more on the back end, very mellow bitterness but not none either. i love the high refinement, the clean ferment, the dry finish, all the bubbles, the sticky just picked hop texture, and the way the grain gives some body but stays largely in the background of the flavor. id love to know what these hops are, seems unique to me. bale breaker is making some of the best hop forward beers in the northwest right now, and this series is the tip of the spear, definitely something to check out and get into if you havent yet. i cant wait for the next one already! these have definitely been some of my favorite ipa types of the whole year!

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Golden pour, light cloudiness, thin, creamy head. Dank, weedy aroma. Taste is hoppy with mild sweetness, lurking dank, grassy, herbaceous. Dank without being over the top.
