Poured from a 750ml bottle dated 8-18-21 (bottle 1,118 of 1,260) into a snifter at 52 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, medium brown creamy head, no visible particulate, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Bourbon, coffee, cocoa, oak, vanilla, high strength of scent.
Taste- Bourbon, coffee, cocoa, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Between thin and medium body, below average carbonation, silky, moderately bitter, mildly mouth warming, mildly mouth coating, mildly creamy.
Overall- This beer provided a great drinking experience. It had really good look, nose and flavor. The feel was thinner than I expected and was under carbonated. This beer does not provide anywhere close to the improvement needed over the non barrel aged base beer to justify the added time to make it or the higher cost. More time in the barrel may have significantly improved this beer over the base.

Appearance: Pours a somewhat translucent coffee color with a khaki head that fades away to a ringlet and archipelago; squiggles and shards of lacing
Smell: A wave of Jameson whiskey joins the coffee, roast, chocolate and toffee
Taste: Toffe and chocolate forward with the Jameson and coffee flavors building; moderately roasty with the Irish whiskey flavors lingering
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I prefer my Imperial Stouts to have a fuller mouthfeel but with an 8.3% ABV, this beer packs in a lot of flavor and expresses the Jameson barrel very nicely
