his beer pours a nice clear golden color with a fairly large foamy head that turns to some lacing. Aroma is sweet corn malt and a little spicy bitterness. Taste is slightly bitter salt with a sweetness of corn. Easy drinking light, crisp, and smooth 50 IBUs. BOD 7-1-2024.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark, clear golden pour, skin of head, small foamy ring. Aroma is caramelly malts with light piney notes. Taste is malty and sweet, caramel, pine, citrus. Bitterness grows as the beer finishes, bringing a little dryness with it.

Clear straw-gold body yields up aromas of resinous pine and dank earth, with a clean, hoppy bitterness. Malt backbone definitely falls behind the aggressive hops. Woody, earthy, piney, spice, robust and clingy on the mouthfeel. Good stuff.

sturdy and delicious, a nice recipe for winter, i have loved the beers from this series i have been lucky enough to drink, these guys just rule, especially on the hoppy stuff. a little deeper color on this one, not quite copper but past golden, and its got quite a lot of body, big and malty in the right ways without being sweet or too heavy to pound on, beefed up just enough for cold weather and to support some rather aggressive hop bitterness through it, very nice recipe, relatively simple, but its just right for this time of year. nice and clear, good shine even in the low light of bittercreek. the nose and taste here are both brimming with hops, more familiar than some of their others, northwestern and woodsy, i get pine and spruce and juniper and bitter citrus, could be simcoe driven, light spiciness as it warms on the back end too, a little oily but pretty clean in feel, balanced the whole way by the grain, just off dry to finish, bitter all the way through not just on the end, but not harsh or overdone either, and the whole thing is super tidy on the ferment, nothing from the yeast here at all. i love the palate coating hoppiness, and how fresh this is, so for being this familiar, its also kind of striking. the quality is lit like it always is from these guys. strudy and refreshing and fully satisfying, great ipa, timeless.
