Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Packaged 7/24/23 … should have checked the date before buying the can! Bought at Chuck’s Hop Shop, which I would normally have expected to have fresh beers.
Appearance: moderately murky orange hue with a finger of ivory foam atop. Body has some floaties; I’m guessing settled hop material.
Smell: a little sweet and rather citrusy; there’s a bit of sharpness to the aroma that isn’t my favorite. I’m guessing the age has not done this one any favors.
Taste: much like the aroma, there’s some standard hazy sweetness here, with a citrusy hop flavor that may have faded over time.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I hate to downgrade a beer if it wasn’t fresh, but then again, you can only take the beers as they come. Maybe this beer always tasted this way? It can be hard to say.
