a downright awesome new ipa here from these guys, deploying the fresh frozen technique, which ive seen before, where they somehow quick freeze unkilned fresh hops and then use them in beer later after the harvest, pretty cool, and it seems to have worked in this, as there really is a pretty epic fresh up front hop punch to this, almost more concentrated and driving that it often is in beers made with just picked hops, super impressive, modern, clean, and even memorable, hope to drink more of this around town before its gone! crystal clear from the tap, the lightest golden sunny yellow under a high inch and a half of churned up white foam, looks absolutely immaculate radiating in the daylight. it smells mosaic forward, but its early onset enough to be punchy, only faintly catty but dank to an absurd degree, and very west coast with some right away bitterness, oily character, and all that resinous fresh hop goodness is there. canned pineapple, lychee, and honeycomb, with subtle clementine and pine in the mix as well, herbal and intense, but with just a bit of malt sweetness in play, tidy ferment overall, really fresh and intoxicating in the aroma, wow. the flavor is just as pungent, cooked pineapple sweetness early, a light diesel thing i cant get away from in my brain but also weirdly love, white grape, high thiol character here, and that wet hop freshness retained. orange and mango, white peach and lemongrass, catty as it warms from the mosaic, citrusy all the way, light in body, seems based on pils malt but not real grain flavored at all, doesnt need to be, light in body for all this flavor but nothing is missing, weedy exhale, rushing carbonation, distinctive and bold but also crushable, high minded stuff here extremely well executed! despite the name, this one really fired me up!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
