12oz can from Boise Co-op. Cloudy, golden pour, head subsides to thin covering, streaky lacing. Nice biscuity aroma with a hint of citrus. Taste also seems to favor the malts, faint citrus hoppiness

A 16 ounce draft pour into a shaker pint at a bar.
Look- Straw, very hazy, sudsy white head, average head retention, above average lacing.
Smell- Grapefruit, slight pineapple, slight mango, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Grapefruit, slight pineapple, weak strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, mildly bitter, very mild astringency, mildly creamy, mildly mouth warming.
Overall- Straw and very hazy with average head retention and above average lacing. The bouquet had adequate strength, but grapefruit was the only prevalent note. I had to work hard for the mango and pineapple. The flavor was underpowered and the only thing I could get was the grapefruit. The feel was a nice medium body with a very small amount of astringency. Overall this beer was plain and underpowered in the flavor department leading to a below average drinking experience.

Better than solid offering: looks good in the glass, fairly hazed/murky tangerine. Nose brings some honeyed malt, lots of tropical hops. Neither super soft nor zippy or lively, kind of in between, but not heavy and the finish is nice and clean, maybe even a little soapy. Hops really pop on this one.

On-tap in Meridian; hazed milky gold appearance with a thin ring of white head. Dank and tropical, with notes of raspberry, mango , apricot, and melon, A good offering all around.

always keen on new bale breaker stuff, and this is another forward thinking ipa from them, its what they do. experimental varietals in here, and as such a rather distinctive brew, a bit of grain body and flavor too, but this is neither sweet nor heavy, and i think its a balanced all season brew that could easily be a full time addition to their already killer lineup. i like the abv not being enormous in this either, low for whats become the standard for the hazy stuff. nice uniform haze, still bright in the glass, a nice churned up near inch of white head floats on top, some patchy lacing as it drinks down, fine carbonation. the hop nose and flavor are almost identical, citra is apparent but its unique from the yet to be named varietals in play, unique wrinkles without being too intense, white coconut, jasmine, cooked lemon, tangerine, and even cantaloupe, fruity all the way but herbal too, just a little late bitterness right on the swallow but that is well restricted overall. its a little sweet up front, some cereal even honey granola leaning grain, but then cleaner later. the high carbonation quickens this beyond the level that is normal and i think that makes this a real easy drinker, and it was a cool pairing with fresh fish, not overwhelming at all. somewhat oily and substantial still, i think very modern, and at this point i think the hbc 1019 at least is certainly destined to get a name and become a thing, it has so much personality and ive pretty much loved each beer ive had with it so far. ill drink my share of this one, hope they keep it around. these guys can do no wrong with hops!
