I had this on draft in Tulsa awhile ago. It was fairly tasty (meaning it had enough hop for my liking), but it seemed more like a session IPA than a true pale ale. Thinner.

Pours a orange with a hint of fog to the transparency. Head is a finger in height and khaki in color and retains fairly well. Aroma is a great blend of malts and hops, nailing out hop notes of herbal and pine supplemented by heart notes of biscuit, bread, and dough malts. Malts are just as much if not a majority of the aroma as the hops. Flavor profile is herbal, floral, and pine hops immediately connected to biscuit and bread malts that carry a little sweetness at the finish. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a smooth, crisp feel. Overall, a very drinkable pale ale that nails out notes across the spectrum well. It's not an IPA in a Pale Ale cloak, the malts play a large and hearty role in creating this smooth and delightfully delicate sessionable beer.

Pours to a permanent lacy head and clear gold color. Aroma is citrus, floral, spicy and pine with a whiff of sweet malt. Flavor is clean and easy with tangy citrus and pine up front with balancing malt to keep it in check. Feels light and easy on palate. Very good APA.

Thanks to RedhawkPoke for this, as part of his awesome NBS BIF#6 box. 16oz can poured into 20oz Duvel tulip. Poured a medium hazy straw gold color, with a little over half-inch of white head that had low retention and lacing.
Nice base malts supported a blend of citrus and earthy hops. Very similar on the tongue, with a slight grapefruit bite at the back.
The body was crisp and clean, with a nicely dry finish. Drinkability was very good, i would grab a pint on the regular if it were on tap near me. Overall, a a solidly enjoyable brew. Worth trying if you see it.

Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, thin head of foam. It smelled of tropical fruits, floral notes and a sweet caramel. Nice pineapple, grapefruit and sweet caramel flavors.

Pours a clear darker amber almost light coppery color with white colored head. Tropical fruits, a light bread note, and a light pine note on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with plenty of fruit, but balanced by a nice malty backbone.

Pours a hazy gold color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of citrus hops, spicy hops, sweet malt, alcohol, hint of pale malt, and a hint of piney hops. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, spicy hops, sweet malt, alcohol, hint of pale malt, and a hint of piney hops. Overall, average across the board.

Pours dark golden color. Smell is sweet grapefruit and Colorado Blue Spruce - awesome smell. Head is perfect; white, light and stays around. This is hands down the best pale ale I've ever had. Once people start getting their taste buds on this beer, recognition will rise. My wife, who's not a hoppy beer lover whatsoever, loves this brew. Killer job Roughtail!
