We crafted a medium sized IPA with a soft mouth feel derived from flaked wheat and let it mature on a large helping of mango puree. We used one of our favorite hop varieties, Comet, exclusively to lend an intense tropical, floral and herbaceous aroma while keeping bitterness in check.

Thanks to dujayhawk for sending this one! Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 16 oz. can into an El Catador teku glass.
A: Very hazy to opaque, and rather the color of orange juice. Forms a half-finger of white head that fades quickly, and fairly low visible carbonation.
S: Tropical fruits, stone fruits, and citrus. Lighter melon and dank hops. Light cracker malts, and some wheat grist without much in the way of a husky aroma. Nice.
T: Juicy and fruity – tropical (mango, papaya), and tangelo. A backer of melon and dank again. Some cracker malt, light husky grist. There's a very mild metallic flavor that shouldn’t be there. Then more fruity bitterness in the hang.
M: Medium body for style. Good carbonation sensation and low alcohol presence.
O: An enjoyable enough IPA, though nothing crazy. The metallic flavor is light but present, and unfortunate. But still, this was a solid offering from a new brewery to me.

Poured from can into tulip, nice cream colored head, approx 1 finger recedes to a pool and sticks around, nice lacing. Looks like orange juice in the glass, pale light golden opaque. Smells faintly of malt, getting a lot of mango and some citrus coming thru. Taste is grapefruit bitter on the front with the mango coming out in the middle, somewhat dry finish with a mango/grapefruit bitterness. If you love grapefruit and mango then this is the beer for you. Nice mouthfeel, feels somewhat thick for the abv, very silky. Bitterness fades as it warms up. Thanks to my daughter for lugging these down from Tulsa, had 8, but she kept one for the effort. Another good IPA from RoughTail
