Another hit from Roughtail.
IPA with lots of character. Wonderful complex character. Roughtail routinely uses some kind of milk syrup so it does come across a bit too sweet for me.
L - hazy golden with a minimal head. This was a very fresh can but I’ve found many other RT offerings in this genre don’t store well. They develop a bunch of white goop balls if left on the shelf too long
S - good fresh citrus smell
T - fantastic! Seems like citra hops in the majority with a thick presence of mango and lemon. I do like it. Pretty sweet.
F - syrupy thick and maybe even a little oily. Lots of staying power on the tongue. Not too fizzy. Very good.
O- another hit from what is developing as RT’s “go to” recipe. Thick, complex, good ABV (seems like it’s around 8% but not printed on can) and really well balanced for me. I live in OKC OK so I’m an admitted RT fan. Good stuff!!

Pours a very hazed gold with 3 fingers of fluffy pearl colored head. Good lacing & head retention
S: Oranges in spades, they fade over time
T: Tangerine, dryness, green melon & guava up front. Pomelo, dryness a little guava once warm. Finishes with much dryness, green melon and sour orange
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, good balance
Solid effort, I would call this a New England IPA, pretty drinkable, just lacks the depth of flavor that some of their other beers of this ilk have
