Charleston Brewing Company - Black Sheep Milk Stout. 5.4% ABV. Served in stout glass on tap at Black Sheep Burrito & Brews in Charleston, WV.
Look: Solid black body, arriving with nice 2 finger mocha colored head. Leaves thick, sticky lacing behind, after head dissolves.
Smell: Roast coffee is the backbone of the aroma, with some sweet cream, chocolate, and vanilla behind it.
Feel: Medium body, very smooth and rich since being on nitro.
Taste: Immediate roast bitter coffee, encompassed by dark chocolate, sweet cream, vanilla, and caramel. Very nice assortment of flavors.
Overall: Milk Stouts are my favorite type of beer, so I wasn't leaving without trying this one. Glad I did, it was very good, and my favorite from the three I tried. Great balance of coffee bitterness, and sweet cream, with very smooth feel, since it's on nitro.
