On tap at Aftershock Brewing Company in Temecula, CA.
Billed as Faultline DIPA with an infusion of 5 different chiles.
Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisp of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, smoke, and chile aromas. Taste is much the same with smoke and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of chile heat in the throat after each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that sounds good on paper but the chiles clash with the DIPA base in my opinion.
