Served in Nonic. Poured a crystal clear golden copper color with just under 1/2 inch of bright white head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was pretty much average, very low malt and some floral and citrus hops. Same story on the tongue, but with a bit better definition. The grains provided a subtle base, the hops were brighter, and there was a bitter citrus finish.
The body was on the light side for the style, but wasn't as light as some IPA's (including some very highly rated ones). Drinkability was pretty good, the beer went down pleasantly enough, and I'll probably try it again. Overall, not too bad for their at-bat, I suspect 6 months from now this will be a much better defined brew. Still, worth a shot if you see it.
