Served On-Tap, and Reviewed from a Crowler taken home. This beer was made for a select few of Aslan's accounts and featured fresh Raspberry Puree added to the keg of fresh Disco Lemonade Berliner Weisse.
A — Pours a very very bright pinkish red color into the glass, it's a bit hazy and opaque, really vibrant and not sure I've seen anything quite like it in the glass. There is a stark, nearly pink colored head atop of the beer, fades to a thin layer and leaves some sticky lacing along the inside of the glass with each sip.
S — Smell is of seriously fresh and ripe raspberries, really juicy, tart, bright, acidic and puckery. There is a hint of some light wheat underneath, but its really a nice showcase of raspberries.
T — Sour, tart, bright, juicy raspberry, bit of lemon, lime, juicy sour lactose is apparent, lots and lots of raspberry and perhaps a bit of a sour cherry tone as well. Really dominated by fresh raspberries and lacto.
M — Medium bodied, perhaps a bit heavy, some residual sweetness is left in this one, it hasn't quite bottomed out yet, but for what it is, it's great.
O — Great overall, cheers to Aslan for just dumping fresh raspberry puree into kegs...
