This special release was brewed to show off a brand new hop variety, Azacca; named after the Haitian God of Agriculture and grown organically in Yakima Valley. It is advertised as a hop big in citrus and tropical fruit notes. The pairing of it with the biscuity type malts used in the mash make for a flavor reminiscent of sunbrewed strawberry and peach tea with a finish so clean and ballanced you might think its a lager.

Served On-Tap
A — Pours a clear and clean pale orangey hue into the glass. A nice little off-white colored head sits and leaves behind some nice bits of lacing.
S — Smell is rather light and biscuity, a little bit of a fruity hop note, but it is really missing the big punch of Azacca hop goodness, just very light.
T — Taste is much like the nose, dominated by cracker and biscuity malt notes, some light black tea notes. Really dry and just focused on malts, missing on some major hop tones.
M — Light in body, very dry, lingering bitter finish.
O — OK overall, a bit simple and not a really good showcase of Azacca hops, misses the mark a little bit.
