great to see some draft from these guys popping up here in idaho, generally love what they do, with a few exceptions. this one is really solid, light for a stronger one, sneakily so, and pretty unique too, which makes it a winner in my book. its on the clearer side, light rust tinted pale orange brew with some shine and an airy lasting white head, nice pour. aroma here is peaches and pineapples and pine trees to me, hitting all at once, a bit oily and sort of northwestern dank, but also kind of green in a good way and almost wet hop smelling, really fresh and pretty full spectrum, must be mostly dry hopped. there is some low level bitterness in the beer, but its more sort of rich hoppy, combined with some malt sweetness too the fruitiness really pops, dried apricot, nectarine, meyer lemon, even mango. its got some buckwheat in the grist bill which is cool, a dry earthiness and light spice to me from that, definitely bready, organic seeming, not richer but more substantial here than white wheat, lends some neat body to this. hoppy through the swallow even though this is pretty dry overall, clean on the ferment, and well carbonated without any alcohol rising up. nicely hopped, constructed, and refined.
