This beautifully delicate lager is simply - and only created with the highest quality Organic German Pils and Mittelfruh hops. A double decoction mash takes single malted lager to a height of malt complexity. The hop character sublimely balances the palate, while the carbonation is 100% natural, resulting in a most drinkable lagerbier.

the quality here is impressive, one of their best lagers ive had, although recent german ones have all been excellent. this has an awesome couple inches of white head from the tap, micro sized bubbles, holding peaks above the rim of the glass, no fade at all, pretty lace, clear yellow beer, just looks spot on, really lovely, striking clarity. the nose and taste are the same here, very lightly hopped but obviously noble and traditional, i like the bitterness on the swallow and the balance, there is purity in the simplicity of all this. the water chemistry is spot on and seems to also dry this out with the yeast, this is super authentic to me, frankly could have come from a reputable german lager maker for my money. light cheerio grain character, fresh biscuit, so light, european and without any toasted or caramelized depth, its light and airy, effervescent and bone dry in feel too, not sure how many dozens of these i could drink if left to my own devices, its that kind of beer, especially this time of year where all the lagers seem to be malty, this still hits as fall appropriate, but i want this every day forever. obvious decoction mash pulls max flavor out of classic pils malt, attention to detail is on point across the board, and the technical excellence of this elevates aslan even more for me in my mind, like they better not make any mediorce ipa from here on out, this is the new standard! from a pure quality analysis, it doesnt get any better than this in this style, especially for an american brewer. absolutely not to be missed, stoked to have these guys available in idaho now!!!

Pours a clear amber with plenty of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. A little spritz on the tongue with a light body. Modest aroma of cereal with an herbal note. Hints of alfalfa in the flavor with a touch of honey. Slight bitter aftertaste.
This is plenty drinkable though a more rabunctious carbonation would be welcome in a slight beer like this. On the plus side, it's quite delicate with a touch of warm malt. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Another one from the fall stash trying to use up, but it tastes clean and decent.

Had on tap. Crystal clear golden body with a finger of white foam with spotted lacing. Big grassy hops in the nose with plenty of white bread and honey behind it. Taste is just too hoppy for the style for me to really get into too much, keeps me on the edge of grassy hop bitters, making breadiness, honey and malt into surface level interactions. Feel is reflects this as well, but good crispness and medium bodied.
