Hazy amber brew with modest foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Is it a West Coast or a New England? It's brewed with oats as well as malt, but apparently it's unfiltered rather than intended to be in the hazy style. But it does taste highly acidic and murky, so have it your own way. Aroma is vegetal and earthy.
I don't taste any familiar hop notes. It's more raw and bitter herbal flavors. Like cabbage leaves, green beans. Harshy aftertaste lingers. There is a hint of malt and sweetness to soften the blow. This is not helping change my years-old aversion to Aslan. From the 12 oz can purchased from Elizabeth Station. No date.
