This is described as a "Belgian-Style Lager" which explains the fruity taste, but since it's not an Ale variety, there isn't a BA style that fits exactly. Color is a handsome dark amber but foam is not much in the Orval chalice. Slight spritz on the tongue and a watery body. Warm and malty with the distinctive dried pear flavor of some Belgian yeasts. Quite easy to drink but certainly flavorful. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 09/01/21.

Pop the top, nice grassy aromas and some bread immediately hit the nose. An aggressive pour reveals a GORGEOUS crystal clear beer (like the clearest beer I’ve ever seen) with a fluffy white head.

The nose from the glass has that nice noble hop aroma, with some bready malt, and there’s a fruity note I can’t place for the life of me.

The taste is all about noble hops as represented by a subtly spicy, grassy flavor and a nice bready malt flavor - and that fruity flavor. Combined with the crisp mouthfeel and a taste that isn’t heavy with alcohol, I’m guessing this is a lager, but I will admit the fruit is throwing me - a LOT.

12oz can (dated 91/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a bright, clean, clear deep gold color with a half-inch of lightly off-white head that had low retention and no lacing.

Slightly sweet malts had the front of the nose, with some lightly floral hops in the background. Maybe a bit of yeast spice as well.

Very similar on the tongue;m a bit sweet, a bit of spice, some grassy/floral tones, and just a bit of bitterness at the back end.

The body was fuller than light, but lighter than medium, smooth, and had a medium-dry finish.

drinkability was good, it would be easy knock a few of these back during a cookout or while watching the game.

Overall, a nice little brew. Worth trying if you see it.
