Brewed with our friends Artivem Mead, Bottleworks Beer, and Ponderosa Beer and Books, this dark lager was brewed with over 75 lbs of local honey to create a unique and enjoyable beverage! This beer is bursting with flavors and aromas of graham cracker, sweet sage, and (of course) honey. A lovely, clean lager finish helps showcase the more nuanced flavors that the honey has to offer!

This is a very dark brown-amber brew with adequate foam in the snifter. The honey is most pronounced in the nose. Warm and malty with a dark grainy taste. Surprising bitter finish and that honey aroma still following. This is quite decent in the lower-ABV competition. I might try this again sometime. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Community Co-op in Mount Vernon. Dated 03/21/23.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a dark brownish red with a two finger khaki head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted biscuit and bready malt, graham crackers, pumpernickel bread and wheat. Flavor is toasty bready and biscuit malt, pumpernickel and wheat bread, graham cracker and a touch of honey. Medium bodied with light to medium creaminess. A very pleasant, bready lager with light honey and smoke. Somewhat less malt depth than a bock, but with some similar character, but with some light smoke and the promised honey. Great fresh bread notes. An novel dark lager with great flavors and balance. I like this a lot. One of the best Aslan brews I've tasted. I'd like to see this again. There have been a number of Bottleworks collabs in the last few months and they are all well done.
