This beer was made to celebrate the sixth anniversary of Aslan Depot, a very special place for many members of the Aslan community. Whether you visit the Depot as your favorite watering hole, because of our ever-popular Jazz night every Tuesday, or because it's your after-work happy hour hang, the Depot has been a staple in the beer community for six years, and boy, has it flown by!
6 Deep is made up of two different saisons from three different red wine barrels, coming from Woodinville Wine Cellars and Force Majeure. We added in a bit of Coastal Pils, to lighten things up and tip our hats to a Depot staple.
The final product is a light-bodied and playfully tart blend, playing off the nuanced, slightly drying-to-the-palette effect provided by the red wine barrel-aged beers, with added effervescence from the bit of highly carbonated Coastal pilsner. Flavors of lemon zest and very slight citron round out this celebratory beer and all its barrel-provided funk, many of which have been aging for upwards of four years.
