November 10th, 2013 - St. Archer's experimental ale is unclear about the parameters and scope of the experiment. But I can observe the results. It's a bright yellow beer, almost neon in color, with the lightest haze, and a perceptible calmness. The smell has a touch of lemon and the subtle, thick sweetness of merengue, draped over cracked wheat. The flavor, given the nose, is surprisingly hoppy, with little death of flavor, a thin palate, and a medium hop bitterness to keep it afloat. So, a fine aroma, poor taste.
