Modeled after the tart beers of Northern Germany, the low ABV beer is the perfect drink for the outdoors. Crisp, fruity esters play alongside the salinity of Pink Himalayan Salt and the spice of ground coriander. The use of lactobacillus, along with blackberry puree, balances the tart front end with soft fruit character, providing you with an easy to drink, refreshing tart ale.

12 oz. can:

Pours nice hue of dark pink with virtually no head or lacing.

The smell is of subtle blackberry, wheat tang and hint of salt. (Aroma is better than description - refreshing smell - sounds odd but true.)

The taste is of sweettart, though subtle, blackberry. Wheat tang comes through in a pleasant way. Somehow I catch a vegetable character reminiscent of cucumber. Saltine (salty cracker) finish (almost a bit too salty).

It has a zesty, tangy light feel.

A refreshing brew overall. A bit of mixed feelings but I enjoy it overall. Blackberry subtle, but present. A wheat beer with a strong gose influence (enough to fit the style).

What the heck this stuff is pink!

Cloudy pink ale with a tall pinkish white colored head.

Smells salty and faintly soapy with a sour berry scent. Smells a little like blackberry candy.

Starts out tart and fruity. Tastes of berry and sour without that much of a salt presence. Certainly not sweet at all. But it is mostly sour.

Mouthfeel is light and easy on the mouth.

Overall tart and refreshing, a good choice for someone who hates sweet beer.

Can from The Beermongers.

A clear, mildly purplish red with a thin, choppy, off-white head that falls off to a ring leaving no lacing. The nose is classic gose with a grainy, wheaty,yogurt-like bread note with a salty and coriander seed note. A little bit of celery salt is present as well. Vaguely fruity - can't say i definitely notice blackberries here. The base gose shines on the palate as well. Grainy, lactic, salty and with floral and spicy coriander notes, this is solid. The blackberry tartness, to the extent that it exists, is mild, and the fruitiness is minimal. Drying, tart and clean on the finish, this is a pretty solid gose.

Poured from a twelve ounce can, dated 6/20/16, a hazy reddish-orange under a 1/2" white head which fades to the rim and leaves a few spots of lace. Aroma is fruity with wheat and an acidic note. Flavor is tart wheat, berry fruits sort of like a punch. Finishes prickly and tart. Refreshing.

I can't say that it is one of the more attractive beers. It is a purplish pink with a very small, fizzy, soda pop like head. It looks like someone spilled some cough syrup into a 7UP.

It is salty and tart smelling with a bit of corriander spice and a hint of sour dark fruit.

The salt is pretty smooth. Not in your face at all. It is a little bit sour, but mainly just a tartness. The blackberry is a nice compliment, and becomes more noticeable as it warms.

A very good, very refreshing, easy to drink Gose.
