Look: Pours a hazy, cloudy coppery orange. With a heavy pour, it yields a decent two finger head with slight legs, lingers to a thin skim on the surface. Looks like what I would expect it to, so I'm pleased with that.
Smell: Smell is solid, definitely some bitter citric hop scents, and as it warms there is much more of a burst of orange that starts to show up. There is also a bit of a sour funkiness to it, almost like lacto, but it's made with brett, so that is fun. I expected a bit more of a tartness/sourness to it, but the citrus is nice and pleasing. This is probably the best part of the beer.
Taste: At first, it's a bit underwhelming, not as robust as I had hoped, but again, it's a Belgian pale base, so it's not as if it's the biggest beer going. At first, it's got a slight bitterness to it, a blend of the moderate hop profile and the brett, but not much else. Really needs to warm a bit, because as it does the orange in the nose and in the flavor profile starts to appear. There is a nice toasty graininess that comes out, and the sourness lingers on the palate. It's a pretty nice beer for a hot night. The moderate ABV makes it easy to get through as it clocks in at just over 6%.
Feel: Nice and lively, carbonation is strong, but not sharp, comes across as fairly soft. Finish is dry.
Overall: It's not my overall preference, and I've had plenty of beers that have a much more robust flavor profile that utilize brett, but this is solid enough. As it warms, it definitely improves, so that's something to keep in mind.
