12 ounce can, canning date is smudged but it was canned sometime in 2021. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, licorice, rye, apple brandy, coffee and bittersweet chocolate. For the most part the taste is just like the aroma, but there's also some vanilla, earthy and nutty flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's rich and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, wish Seventh Son would make more big stouts because they do a great job with the ones they make already. Certainly worth picking up if you come across some! $12.99 a 4-pack.

Oh good lord this stuff from @jzeilinger is awesome! Poured into a 13 tulip glass canned on 2/25/21 it looks like. Pours midnight black on a cloudy winters night, with a massive 3 finger mocha head that actually got away from me. Leaves a thin wall of lace with amazing retention. 5
Aroma is deep dark chocolate, roasted coffee grounds, hazelnut, a hint of char, a little vanilla bean, and a little barrel. 4.75
Taste follows dark chocolate, roasty coffee, char, hazelnut, vanilla, and woody oak. 4.75
Mouthfeel is bigger, creamy carbonation, maybe a tad dry, and at 12.5% you get a hint of alcohol, but it is so good it goes down far to easy. 5
Overall maybe I haven’t had a new BA Stout in awhile, but this one is pretty amazing. 4.75 Pretty Damn floored by this one.

A - Dark pour with creamy, dark toffee colored lacing that cements itself to the sides of the glass.
S - Chocolate roast, toasted cocoa, Brandy, and delicate apple buried deep in the background.
T - Nice roasty chocolate and cocoa up front (and throughout) with a little bit of booziness, then finishes with a lingering toasty chocolate with some very delicate green apple lingering in the background along with a nice touch of spiciness.
M - Syrupy thick and silky soft on the palate with a dry finish. or of
O - There's definite warming on the way down but it never detracts from the overall experience. I'm a barrel aged fan but never in favor of Brandy Barrels, Seventh Son got it right with blending. Here's an under the radar beer that's worth pursuing right here.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This fantastic brew pours a fantastic
dark chocolate black with a VERY nice head of light brown foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports excellent lacing. Nose of
roasted apple, astringent booze notes, dark cocoa, dark coffee, and notes
of dark chocolate with subtle herbal touches. Flavors pack the punch with
dark bakers chocolate, mulled apples, subtle wafting cinnamon, dark coffee,
astringent booze notes, roasted malts, and char. Very nice mouth feel; full
body, smooth, rich, lightly coating, lightly warming, and finishing with a
very nice bitter malt note.
Overall----excellence from an exceptional brewery.
