12 oz can, poured into a stout glass at ~40 degrees F and allowed to warm during consumption.
L: Poured the standard stout black. Formed a few fingers of pale khaki head that faded in short order.
S: Cherries indeed, with an almost maraschino tinge to them, over a chocolate and earthy backdrop.
T: That is tasty stuff. The cherry tones strike first up front, then recede to the edges to allow swirls of chocolate and vanilla through, almost like a variation on Neapolitan ice cream. After that rolls through, there's an earthy bitterness that lingers on the palate beside fading notes of cherries.
F: Full, smooth, silky.
O: This was a delight of a stout.

Pours almost black with a thick sticky tan head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla and cherry.
I really wanted to like this. I’m a big fan of Seventh Son stouts. This one just didn’t work for me. I feel like the cherry flavor detracts from the base beer rather than enhancing it.
Overall I enjoyed this but this brewery does much better in my opinion.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass canned on 4/11/21? Pours a very dark near pitch black with a 2 plus finger sticky mocha head that leaves webs of lace with excellent retention. 4.5
Aroma is black cherries, raspberry, dark chocolate, and vanilla bean. 3.75
Taste follows cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate, and vanilla. A little one dimensional and a tad more cherry than I was hoping for, but still well made. 3.75
Mouthfeel is pretty big, gentle carbonation kind of creamy, a tad dry, and at 11% it may have a little alcohol in the finish, but still easy drinking. 4.5
Overall I am never a huge fan of fruit in my stout, but I will say I am enjoying this one. Thanks jzeilinger for this can. 4

This...this is really good.
It doesn't pour as dark as the regulation Seventh Son imperial stout. Whatever. Every sweet sip is a diagram explaining why you stay fat and addled despite decades of longing to be something else. It's because you can't dive into the depths of a beer like this with any frequency and still maintain some semblance of fitness. Unless you're a Marine drill sergeant or otherwise certifiable.
Worth it.

A - Very dark brown pour with light pinkish tan lacing surrounding the top of the pour.
S - Chocolate roast, light char, and with just a touch of cherry on the nose.
T - Chocolate malt, chocolate roast, light char, and delicate cherry presence on the backside that's a little bit artificial in nature.
M - Thick and silky soft on the tongue with little to no carbonation. A little bit sticky on the lips and very little warming on the way down.
O - Cherry Stouts are hit or miss with me, this is one of the better ones.

From the 12 oz can in a pint glass. This excellent imperial pours
a dark and muddled coal black with a nice head of tan foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing.
Nose of tart cherry, faint char, light coffee, and dark cocoa. Flavors
expand nicely on the nose with dark cocoa, dark coffee, tart pie
cherries with touches of cranberry, subtle cream notes, and nicely
balanced char notes. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich,
medium tartness, light soft carbonation, and a dry finish
with dark malt notes.
No "but" on this one, a cherry stout focusing on the cherry
and making the stout notes secondary. It is in it's own class.
That said....another excellent brew from a brewery that keeps
hitting it out of the park with their fantastic dark offerings!
Cheers
