This decadent beer was barrel-aged in a blend of Pedro Ximenez Sherry and Watershed Bourbon barrels, and infused with cacao nibs and orange peels.

12 ounce can, canned on 05/07/2024, thanks again to Brutaltruth for this one! For whatever reason I didn't see this around here so I'm glad I didn't miss out on it. Served in a Seventh Son snifter, the beer pours dark brown with about a half inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like chocolate, oranges, dark bread, roasted malt, dark fruit and some bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some Tootsie Roll candies, vanilla, sherry and some coffee flavors too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. There's a lot going on here, but I thought this a pretty good overall brew. Need to look for more of this one!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This nice little imperial pours a dark muddled
brownish black with nary a head to speak of and fizzles to nothing. Nose of
bourbon, dark cocoa, subtle char, bourbon, moderate orange, and dark roast.
Flavors surpass the nose with dark chocolate bourbon balls, vinous sherry, orange
zest, moderate char and dark roast, dark coffee, and brulee. Mouth feel is full,
smooth, rich, warming, subtle carbonation, lightly coating, and finishing moderately
warm but well hidden on the booze content.

Overall, this one hits the marks for balance without being cloying. Not overly sweet
for being more on the dessert brew side of the spectrum.

Cheers

Canned on: (the date is too hard to read on the bottom of the can)

A - Looks like a flat pour of Coca-cola. No lacing, very little carbonation, no foam, and no legs on the sides of the glass (very surprising).

S - Aroma is lame and hardly there, you have to really dig for it. Minimal brownie, some molasses, and delicate/faint Bourbon.

T - Bourbon, Sherry, Oak, light orange, and minimal brownie on the very back side.

M - Warming in the back of the throat and a light sticky coating on the lips and wet on the finish.

O - One of my favorite Ohio breweries but this is an ugly looking booze bomb with not much personality.
