This special brew is a decadent remix of our beloved Fox in the Stout Salted Chocolate Imperial Stout, aged 12 months to perfection in Nocino barrels from our friends at Watershed Distillery. The result? A rich, bold beer with warm, nutty undertones that’s perfect for savoring during these winter months.

Yikes 12.2% sounds like a beast.
Jet black. Brown head dissolves with the pour. Bubbles continue to break the surface with a bit of short-lived lacing around the rim of the glass. Smells like a dark rum with vanilla and chocolate tones.
Drinks thick and sticky on the tongue. Alcohol taste is prevalent with a very subtle bight. Some brightness at the end of each sip to lighten up the overall effect. Chocolate and cocoa grows as the beer warms a bit more.
Very good beer. And reminds me why I don’t step into imperial beers lightly.

Poured into a Council Belgian-style tulip
P black w/ a tiny layer of tan foam on top; no lacing
N med-bold nose; sweet, rich combo of fudgy chocolate and liqueur; inviting
T follows w/ rich satisfying fudge, sweet and nutty nocino, and light roast; barrel comes through in the finish; outstanding
Mf med-full bodied; a bit slick, w/ a sticky finish; soft-med carb; suits the profile well
O just excellent all the way around; hits all the right notes; thanks so much, J!

A - Black pour with a dense, creamy, toffee colored lacing ring.
S - Dark fruit, slightly nutty, and a Bourbon / liquor presence.
T - Dark fruit along with nutty liquor, Bourbon, and ends on the sweeter, boozier side.
M - Thick, light syrupy, silky, leaves a light sugary residue on the lips and warming in the back of the throat.
O - This is a slow sipper, best poured in a snifter, and drinks more like a sweet liquor.
